Looks like all is going to plan not much left to do but pack clothes and stock the fridge and freezes and finalise the pantry.
Before we head off there are a few people we would like to thank. My vehicle had to have a few modifications for this trip, to cope with the long hard road and also be comfortable for the family.
Firstly like to thank my brother in-law Claude for all his help with parts for the truck and equipment. I had many sleepless nights as Claude constantly broke my nuts about keeping the truck under GVM. Thanks to Mick & Ben from Axel Welding in Drysdale, for all the work they had done, helping me to nut out all my ideas and engineering the vehicle, so everything had a place. And for allowing me to use the work shop.
Thanks heaps to John & Peter Russo for all the canvas work from 'MasterCraft' and Jean for sewing it all together. Also 'One Pace Mick' for his input, I won't have to call on him to pull me out of a bog, as he has provided the winch.
And special thanks to my nephews Sebastian for his input on all the electrical work and Steve for without his help it would have been impossible. He has spent many hours on my truck and its much appreciated.
It's been a big project getting the truck from a stock Hi-Lux to a trip worthy beast. All the prep has been done its time to go on a family adventure. So let's see how she goes. Oh by the way I've named the truck. "THE GREY ASS"....
